Many people are having difficulty discerning between the different makes and models
of portable FIR saunas on the market because of the every growing number of new companies that now produce them. Here are five things that everyone should know before they start shopping for one.
First, be sure to figure out what type of infrared you're getting. It can be easy to end up with a sauna that is emitting medium infrared instead of far infrared. Make sure that the infrared sauna you are considering produces 100% far infrared rays that fall between the 4 and 14 micrometers when measured.
Second, make sure that it heats to a high enough temperature. Look for a portable sauna that has sufficiently powerful heaters that can heat up quickly (preferably in 1 minute) and heat to the ideal temperature to activate blood and lymph circulation, as well as metabolism (160-175 degrees F).
Third, heater maintenance. It is best to find a saunas who's heaters can run constantly because fans cool and prevent overheating.
Fourth, sauna dimensions. Look for the extra large sizes. It should be about 40 or so inches tall. This will allow for somewhat tall people to comfortable sit in the sauna.
Fifth, look into the company selling the sauna. If you don't deal with a company that will offer a full warranty and a good return policy, then you are in for trouble. Be sure that their is phone support in case of technical problems and questions in general.
Finding the perfect sauna that meets your needs does not require any real expertise. Simply take these five guidelines and apply them when shopping for your sauna and you'll end up with the one that best suites your needs.
