All the programming codes must be reliable to ensure smooth functioning of the application. With the help of a regression test, the following errors can be identified and corrected.

One of the critical issues of regression testing is to identify the codes that are used in creating multiple user interfaces. In that scenario, identifying a bug in the single code out of the various multiple codes is a tough task for the tester. Based on the findings codes are modified and then re implemented. If tester identifies the wrong code, then it will lead the complete breakdown of the application. Here, the skills and experience of tester comes into the picture.

Almost all the software development organizations emphasize heavily on quality testing that includes regression testing. They have a team of test engineers who are best in their skills. Software development requires a dedicated team of developers working day and night with high investments. Hence, even a small unidentified bug can badly harm the usability of the application and affect the revenue. Thats why the role of regression testing is very much critical these days.

A comprehensive regression testing plan consists of three stages.

In the first stage, the test engineer creates regression testing plan covering every aspect of the application on the whole.

After creating the plan, regression test is then executed. Here engineer need to define various attributes and checkpoints to monitor the progress of the test.

Finally, at last engineer need to generate a regression test report to identify bugs. After identifying the bugs, report is then sent to developers for resolving bugs.
