What Next After 12th
Senior secondary results are the time, after which a student is said to be introduced to the practicalities of the education world
. He is no more a part of the spoon feeding sessions and is required to put in all his hard work to define a place for himself in the race for higher education. It is not as easy as it seems from above, one would really wonder what to take and what to leave, once he actually enters the pool of education. It is in fact a very complexed structure and directly proportionate is the decision for the student in terms of choosing his career field. A student after completing his schooling is in a great mess as in which career option he should opt for, which is the sure short way towards the achievement of his success.
The career option for the students also depends on the subjects he had in the 11th and 12th classes. In fact the choice of subjects after 12th, in a way solves half of the problem of the student, because then the career option for the higher education are limited and based on the subjects chosen by him in the senior secondary classes. The different streams which are opted by students in the 11th, 12th classes are medical with maths, without maths, non medical, commerce with maths, commerce with computers, arts, etc. All these fields have various options; which students can take. Additional subjects such as physical education, foreign languages, computers, etc, can also be taken by the students to add to their percentage in the senior secondary board results. There are various
colleges in India, which forms the landing destination of the students for various subjects and languages. The students choose colleges based on the course and the career field they want to opt for.
The different career options, based on the streams, which a student can opt for, to take admission in the colleges of India, are:
Science fields:
Sciences is basically divided into medical and non- medical, corresponding to which there are different career options, which a student can choose as his career field and accordingly can take admission in the respective colleges.
Options for students having Medical with maths:
Different types of Medicinal forms or doctorate degrees, depending on the interest of the student
Engineering fields such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, etc
Biotechnology
BSc in different subjects like maths, physics, chemistry, etc
Nursing
Courses on Alternative medicines
Career in pharmaceuticals
Students not having medical with maths are not eligible for the courses, which has the commencement of maths in a major way like engineering. All the
medical colleges in India would be the desired destination for these students to fulfil their dreams. The admission to these colleges is on the basis of the entrance tests, criteria for which varies from college to college.
Options for students having non- medical as subjects;
All forms of engineering
Computer courses (if student has computer as a subject in 12th boards)
Career based on the fields like Architectural courses, law courses, management, finance, commerce, communication, teaching can also be opted by the student hailing from medical and non- medical fields.

Course as a company secretary
Course in banking

Bachelors in Business Management
Specialisation in a particular language
Career after arts:
Course in Law

Courses in computers (if the student has computers in 12th)
There are private as well as government colleges in India providing all these courses to students. The admission to the colleges in India is on the basis of the merits achieved by the students in their senior secondary examinations. So, the students must do a proper research about all the colleges and the courses where he fits the best and choose the best career option to lead his career in the right direction.
