What Not To Bring To Mazda Dealerships

So, you're going to look for a new Mazda! Dealerships can be exciting places to shop as long as you don't bring the wrong things

. Buying a new or pre-owned car is a huge financial decision. You need to have your wits about you in order to get the best deal on your new Miata, Mazda2, or the model of your choice. Bringing along certain items can throw a monkey wrench into this important event.

Leave Your Kids with a Sitter

We know you love your children, but bringing them along with you to the dealership will not be a fun experience for you, them, or the other shoppers at the dealership. Why? Because kids get bored, whiny, hungry, and need to have their diapers changed. Test driving a car while Junior's throwing a temper tantrum can make you so stressed; you might just drive off the road. Get a friend or babysitter to keep the kiddos while you shop in peace.

Leave Your Bad Mood Outside The Door

If you've had a horrible day at work, had a fight with your spouse, or your biorhythms are just plain off, either plan the shopping trip for another day or improve your mood beforehand. Some ways to shake off crankiness include going for a jog, meditating, bicycling around the mountain, making out with your beloved (especially if he or she was the source of the bad mood), and eating chocolate. Black clouds skew your perspective. You'll be no fun to be around and every car will be a "no."

Leave Rover in the Back Yard

You love that dog and he's better behaved than your kids but that's still no reason to bring him to Mazda dealerships. Even a sweet mutt on a leash will be unwelcome in the showroom and on test drives. Other shoppers or salespersons may have allergies or canine phobias. You don't want to incite panic on the car lot.

Leave Your Exhaustion Behind

You have not slept for more than four hours all week and your head feels like it's stuffed with cotton. Perhaps you think a test drive and the feel of leather interior in a sporty Miata will make you feel energized but think again. Being tired will hamper your decision making, not to mention your driving skills. If you're totally pooped out, take a nap before heading to Mazda dealerships or wait for at least one decent night of sleep to occur.

Leave Your Negative Friend at Home

We all have at least one negative friend who finds fault with everything. He or she may have some other wonderful attributes but being positive is not one of them. Whatever you tell her, show him, or plan to do is met with a list of reasons why you shouldn't. She didn't like the guy you married; he found a thousand things wrong with the house you bought; and your hairstyle - she can't believe you went to that stylist! With input like that, who needs stomach acid? Leave Negative Nancy and No-no Norm at home.

When you're planning a trip to Mazda dealerships, you want to have a clear head. In order to be centered, leave your kids, bad mood, dog, exhaustion, and negative friend behind. You and everyone at the dealer will be glad you did.
