I am sure many of us who love biking had encountered such scenario before
. Been chasing by a dog is the most un-sexy thing in the world. It may cause harm to you if you are a little too unlucky. So how should we handle this? Well, there are couple of ways to deal with this. Below are some great suggestions for your consideration.
Pedal fast
Pedal as fast as you can. Dogs usually will lose interest after a few seconds of chasing. Their main intention is to defends own territory. So they won't chase you for long.
Be friendly
Doggies are playful animals. Try to talk to them like you are their friend. Most of time, their tails will wag and you know they won't bite.
Squirt dog with water bottle
When be nice is not working, you may take out your water bottle and squirt it. This action might scare it away and stop its chasing.
Kick at dog
Okay, you are facing an aggressive one. It is unfriendly and does not scare of water bottle trick. So kick it! Make sure you aim it right and kick fast. It will be super un-cool to show a dog your leg and let it chew on it.
Bite the dog
Are you serious? Please don't do that. You may yell at it with "Stop! Go away! Sit!" Most dogs have been trained with the command 'No'. If it is still not working, is time to take out our mini pump and pepper spray to prepare for the battle.
