What Should My Classified Ads Contain When Posting On Sites?

It's kind of funny, when most people post free ads on free classifieds sites

, they seem to misunderstand the purpose of these sites. This isn't a guessing game! You really need to sit down and figure out exactly what you want to do, what you should say, and what you should leave out. Your ad should be very clean looking and for detailed in what you have or what you want. For example, this is a BAD ad if you are a seller:

"I have a service I can provide to people in the Internet Industry, if you are interested, email me at (email address here)"

This is very plain. YOU might think you are being vague and that it will catch people's attention and interest them, but this is an ad that most people would pass up because it is NOT descriptive enough. Also, try to NOT post your email address out in the open like that. While the free ads site may not condone spamming, you simply cannot protect yourself or have them protect you if you list your email address like that out in the open. Instead, use their anonymous email address service. Even if you would perchance GET spam, the user would not know your real email address. On the other hand, you do not want to talk desperately either:

"I really really need to sell this item so I can fix my car"

Now that is just funny! Do not post your life story or personal things. No one really cares to be honest. They just want to know what you have, what it looks like, why it would benefit them (if it's not already obvious), and what the price is:

"We are an Internet Marketing & Content Creation solutions company that provide a service to individuals and businesses that need Internet Marketing services for their websites, products or services. The services we are offer are beneficial to the success of your company and will help create web presence, reach out to visitors, and produce sales for your company. We are offering various packaged services right now including blah blah blah. The price starts at $100 for Articles, $300 for Content and $500 for our ultimate marketing package".

That is the kind of ad you want to post. I'm not crying about how my life is horrible. I don't mention my sick kids or my dogs. The free ads are concise, detailed, but they aren't overwhelming and most importantly I gave my benefit and my price. If you want to get leads for ANY product, service or item you are selling on classified ads sites, this is the type of ad YOU want to post!
