If you are a security guard company and you want to grow your business then there are certain factors you need to make sure that all prospective clients read about or hear directly about in your presentation. Here is is a list of what needs to be discussed when bidding on any security guard contract:
1) Price: how low will go? Most clients care a great deal about this. In fact, it may very well be there number on concern due in part to this tough economic climate. But it makes sense to make clients aware of the fact that, more often than not, they get what they pay for. Many guard vendors who low-ball hire minimum wage guards. You should ask yourself what will you pay your guard staff. It may even be a good question to ask the client. Some may want to be involved in establishing what rates the guards will make.
2) Post Orders: these are the rules and regulations of any given account. Each account has its own security needs and so the post orders should be written specifically for each account. Many large companies fail to do this. They create cookie-cutter post orders which are overly broad and non-specific.
3) Supervision: one needs to estblish who will be monitoring the security team's performance. If officers aren't managed, they may go astray or perform their job poorly. Many employees care about their job to the degree that their management team does. Set high expectations and you will get better results.
4) Consider offering a twenty-four hour cancellation policy. Why should a client be stuck in a contract that they don't like or want. If they are unhappy, it's usally for a good reason. You increase your chances of landing the job if you offer an easy way to get out of the contract.
5) Background checks; some clients care a great deal about the screening that is involved when hiring officers. Los Angeles security guard come in all different shapes and sizes.
6) Good customer service. Security guards should be trained on how to give customer service. This is a continual problem in the security industry. Not enougg training is dedicated to this.
