What To Avoid In Your Postcard Printing
Today, with more and more people getting fussy in the products they buy
, no business can afford to neglect their marketing strategy. Many businesses are claiming to be the best and offering the cheapest products in the market. If you neglect your marketing effort, youll easily get left behind the competitive market world.
Its not actually difficult and costly to market a businessthat is if you know how to market effectively. With modern technology, many cost effective marketing alternatives are now available to businesses. With the quality, quick turnaround time, and result-oriented marketing materials today, who would not be enticed to take advantage of these cost effective alternatives.
Among these alternatives, there is actually one material that any business can take advantage ofthe postcards. These simple, small, and humble cards can be exceptionally effective when designed properly. They can easily provide the information customers ask for. In just a few catchy words, your target customers can easily get the idea of what your products and services are all about.
In many cases though, business owners are easily carried away with the need to make their post cards remarkably stunning and eye-catching. After all, you are sending your post cards to everyone, so obviously you want to show off every side of your business. You would want to include every graphics, image, and text you can include in your post cards. That is a good thought, but an exceptionally artistic post card that defeats your marketing message is no good. This will only leave a bad impression to your customers. A cluttered post card will only confuse your prospects or worse nobody would notice your card at all.
To keep your post card campaign successful, here are things to avoid in your post card design:
Use images to a minimum. On a standard post card, you dont really need to use a lot of images. You simply need to use your logo, a simple design element, and a small image. This would ensure your prospects understand what you need to tell them.
Dont use overly artistic fonts. . . if the font would only obscure the message you want to deliver to your prospects. As much as possible use simple and average sized fonts. Although you can use large fonts in your headline, use regular font to the rest of the texts. Dont be easily swayed being too artistic in your fonts if it would only confuse your readers.
Use appropriate colors. Color choice is important to your postcard printing. Keep in mind that you want to give your prospects the right impression. Each color has different meaning, so be sure to choose wisely. For instance, black means sophistication and elegance; red means energy and excitement; green represents freshness and growth; and white means simplicity and cleanliness.
Dont put your office building in your postcards. Many business owners make this mistake. In their attempt to add credibility to their post cards, they include the photo of their office in the card. This should not be done. Leave your office photo for your brochure. What your prospects would want in your post cards is information about your products or services.
Keep in mind that the goal of your post card is to get immediate response from customers. So, be sure to avoid the mistakes mentioned above and you are sure to grab your prospects attention in just a few seconds.
