What To Do If Google Cancels Your Youtube Account.

YouTube is indeed one of the best social media sites online for internet marketing

. YouTube is owned by Google, so it is only natural that YouTube videos get preference on Googles search engine results.

Surely YouTube is being used by ALL marketers as one of their primary platforms in social media to promote their internet business... right? If so, then marketers must be careful of how it is used. The reason is that YouTube is canceling accounts for users that are aggressively using their services. If internet marketers are going to use YouTube as a video marketing platform, then they are going to have to play by their rules. Those that have success with online marketing have done so with YouTube.

But what has to be done to get YouTube to cancel the account? Here are some of the most common answers. If someone has more that one account (with the same internet provider address) then that is a red flag. Anyone that is using electronic software to automatically add friends, post comments or ratings are subject to getting their account canceled. Those that upload duplicate videos of the same content also stand the chance of getting their account suspended or terminated. If they have violated YouTubes community guide lines (http://www.youtube.com/t/community_guidelines) and the account has been canceled, then they can e-mail their support desk and request that they reinstate your channel(s). Mostly likely they will tell you NO, and you'll have to start over. Yeah I know, that stinks! I have heard of one person that has had their account reinstated, but I don't know of anyone personally.

If YouTube canceled the account, and it cannot be reinstated, what must be done next? How can video marketing continue? What about all of those videos and the time spent creating them? The short answer is to start over.

First - Create a new account, but this time use a NEW email address.

Second - If those old videos are stored on a hard drive or disk somewhere, then you will be back up to speed quicker. Only use those videos if make slight changes are made to them, because if the exact same videos are posted then Google may flag it again.

Third - Consider using other social media sites that like www.DailyMotion.com or www.Viddler.com and www.MetaCafe.com (just to name a few) along with your new YouTube account.

Finally - Call your internet service provider and request a new "IP" address. The moral of the story is that YouTube provides a great platform to brand yourself. And this is what you should be doing for your business in the first place. No more spamming, that's what MySpace has turned into.
