What To Do When Getting "to Play This Disc, Put It In An Xbox 360 Console" Error?

Imagine seeing this error "to play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console" after inserting your favorite xbox 360 game disc

, yet you have no idea what happened nor what to do?! Let me tell you.

First of all you need to know that this error might be because of your game disc itself or because of your xbox 360 console, so first of all check your xbox 360 disc for any kind of scratches on it

If you find your xbox 360 disc scratched, they try playing other xbox 360 game discs on your console. If they played alright then the problem is with your game disc.

In case there is no scratch or a flaw on the game disc try the following steps:

1- Do not insert any discs in your xbox 360 console, and go to the system section on your dashboard

2- Select Console Settings.

3- Go to start up.

4- Make sure it is set to Disc not dashboard.

If it is set to dashboard, then change it to Disc and try your game again.

If it is set to disc or you tried playing your xbox 360 game and it didn't work, then read the following steps:

1- Clean your xbox 360 game disc gently and try it again.

2. If it's still not working try also another discs to know whether it's an issue with the actual Xbox 360 console then or not.

3- If the other game discs worked fine, then remove your xbox 360 hard disk and try the game again.

4- If the game is still not working, then you should exchange it from the retailer you bought the game from as it isn't scratched.

In other case, if all your xbox 360 game discs are triggering the same error, then you should immediately get in touch with the xbox 360 support to repair or exchange the console.
