Then, go to Google and enter those messages and run a search. See what comes up in the search results. You might get lucky and find a fix. You could also call tech support and ask them about the error message, but there may be charges for doing this.

2. Try to restore to a previous point-Windows has a feature that lets you try to start up your computer using Last Known Good Configuration. What this does is it goes back to a point when your computer was running properly and tries to restart it using those same settings. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Its worth a shot.

3. Get a new hard drive-No luck with the first 2 steps? Your hard drive is probably trashed, and that means its time to get a new one. Its always a good idea to start with a brand new, reliable hard drive so that youre not prone to the same problem reoccurring. A new hard drive will have the latest features and technology to minimize the chances of a future crash.


4. Reload your operating system onto the new hard drive-After installing your new hard drive, you need to reload your operating system onto it. This lets you get your computer up and running again.

5. Restore your music, videos, and photos-The good news is that if you have an Apple device (iPod, iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch), you can restore all of your music, videos, and photos from your device to your computer. Thats right, you can transfer iPod to computer if you use a program like GizmoRip. This lets you restore files that werent purchased through iTunes, so you never lose your favorite songs, videos, or photos.
