The first thing you need to realize is that immediately after your surgery you may be placed in a type support bra or apparatus. This may or may not be a little uncomfortable. Even if there is a little discomfort, you should make sure you keep the garment on as long as your surgeon tells you to. Taking the bra off prematurely can slow down the healing process and it may even cause some other issues down the road. So, make sure you listen carefully and take note of your physician's instructions.

Now as previously mentioned, getting breast implants is a form of surgery. However, it's important that you don't allow this to intimidate you. That's because the process is not as invasive and risky as others. So, it's no surprise that you should expect to be walking without assistance right after your surgery.

With that being said, it's also important that you have someone who can assist you for a day or two following your procedure. This same person should also be familiar with any post-surgical care instructions that you receive. Some of the instructions you might receive may be in regards to the symptoms you may experience as well as possible complications.

For instance, although you may have the urge to lie down, sit and rest for a while once you get home, you must make it a point to walk for a few minutes every couple of hours. This will help to prevent blood clots from forming in your legs.

Some of the other things you can expect include stiffness and soreness in your chest area. This area may also be itchy and very sensitive. Another complication you may experience deals more with other parts of your body such as your arms. Because you may have difficulty using your arms, you should not participate in any strenuous activities that involve you lifting, pushing, or pulling something heavy.
