What To Look For In A Flight Sim

Flight simulators have the potential to offer some of the most absorbing and nejoybale experiences in gaming, but if they aren't executed properly, they can be a serious waste of time and money. With the experience I have, I can pick the good from the bad. I thoroughly enjoy a good flight sim, but you really need to know whether you're paying for quality before you take the plunge.

There's a huge selection og games out there, so you first must consider what you'll be looking for in yours. Thera er ganes and flkight sims catering towards more serious flyers, and ones for folks just looking to have some csual gaming fun. This is something that I can't help you decide, but will go a long way to helping you decide on a product. For now, I'll be talking in general terms, so read what I have to offer, and decide for yourself.

The most important factors for me is the nymber of different features offered by the game. Most important of these, for me, is the number of different vehicles you can pilot. I enjoy them all; from fighter planes to helicopters to passenger liners. If you are going to buy a flight simulator game, make sure they are giving you more than just a helicopter or two. A good rule of thumb for me is not to buy anything with less than twenty different aircraft options. These games can be expensive (especially with all the peripherals) so you'll really want to be getting your money's worth.

After that, I look for realistic gameplay (graphics and such). I'm talking about high quality, interesting scenery; that really matters to me. I want to see the Eiffel Tower and Grand Canyon! I do not want to see boring scenery. That means relism, and true-to-life features. I want to be able to recognize scenery from the real world, like airports! One of my favorite things about flight sims is how absorbing they can be, and the realism is key for achieving this fully. That's why I play the game--to simulate real life.

Finally, you always have to consider the price-point. No matter how great it is, who's going to spend a fortune for a flying game. As much as I want to enjoy a realisitic experience, I simply can't afford to spend hundreds of dollars on something like this (the wife would have a fit). Quality does matter, but it does not mean it has to break the bank. If you're patient, and do your research, you can find a great product for uner fifty bucks. On top of that, you really aren't missing out on much all.

Above all, the point is to have fun, so why stress over soending too much money? So, with all this in mind, I think you'll be able to find one that suits you--just don't give up!
