Perhaps you'll also want a laundry room where you can wash both clothes and swimming suits after long days at the beach. That would save you some room on packing.

Next you should consider your wants. Is it important that the place where you stay has a pool and sauna? Maybe you want more than one bathroom. Maybe you want a great view or a king sized bed. Perhaps you really would like a fireplace or a certain theme. You might want to stay in a beach house while someone else might want to stay tiki themed lodge. Think about all of the things you want, but also what you're willing to compromise on. There are so many beautiful places to stay in Hawaii, you shouldn't have trouble finding the accommodations you want for the right price.

When picking the perfect place, you need to make sure you aren't being scammed. You'll need to see pictures of the place as well as talk to someone on the phone. Most places will provide pictures of where you can stay and what kinds of rooms are available. Make sure you get all of your reservations in writing. Try to get everything you can in writing so you can have a written record just in case someone is trying to take your money. Just be careful and only rent from someone you really trust.
