The French Bulldog is a rather muscular, yet compact breed that does very well in small homes or apartments. They will also do fine in larger houses, but it is very hard to find a breed of dog that is fine with not having a lot of space to move around. They will range from about twenty-two to twenty-eight pounds, and they can get to as high as thirteen inches tall. The unique physical feature about the French Bulldog is how strong they are with such a small body, although this is not much different from other types of bulldogs. The first thing you will notice while touching some French Bulldog puppies is their smooth and fine coat. It is rather short compared to most other dogs, which gives it a rather unique feel with the touch of a hand. Another unique feature about their coat and skin is that it is very loose and you can oftentimes grab a batch of skin in your hand pretty easily. The wrinkles on French Bulldog puppies are another one of their undeniable traits, and once you see their cute, wrinkled filled face, you will surely be going home with at least one of them. The coat on a French Bulldog can also vary, but the majority of them that you find will be the classic tan. Unlike the other breeds of domesticated bulldogs, French Bulldog puppies like to run around and be active. You will need to take your French Bulldog on a walk daily because just running around the house or in the backyard will not be enough to satisfy their activity needs. French Bulldog Puppies want to be loved, so you or your children will need to show them some love every day by playing around with them for an hour or two. As long as the French Bulldog is getting some love, they will gladly return the favor. French Bulldog puppies can turn into great watch dogs if you want to keep them outside, and they actually enjoy the outdoors because it gives them more freedom to run around and enjoy their time on this earth. They will be friendly and obedient to their owners, but strangers will be met with barks and growls if they don't come at the dog in a loving manner. The French Bulldog gets along with everyone, but they are extremely loyal to their owners. Their mood can actually be affected by the mood of their owner, so when you are sad, they will be sad too and they will feel your pain.
