There will be a number of things to think about when you start packing for a trip to the Sunshine Coast
. Obviously the number one consideration is which season of the year your trip will occur. This region has a mild climate so the winters remain temperate, even warm during the daytime. So if you are traveling in the winter you still need to include your sunscreen and your swimsuit because you will be out in the sunshine.
If traveling in the winter, however, you will want to make sure that you pack a variety of clothing items such as lightweight clothing items for the daytime but some heavier items to wear when the sun goes down. You shouldn't need anything extremely warm but a sweater or light jacket should suffice.
The next issue is to know the spirit of the Sunshine Coast is very free which means the clothing is more casual here than other places in the world. If your plans include playing golf or going to night clubs then you will want to include something more dressy. Since it's casual some may make a mistake in packing for their holiday by only including flip flops or sandals, but closed toe shoes are required at some fine dining places or some night clubs.
In addition those travelers who are making plans to go out into the hinterlands are going to need to bring a bit warmer clothing because it will be cooler in those areas than in the coastal areas. Include a rain jacket of some type also because it can be more wet out there. Also hiking boots are necessary or at a minimum some comfortable shoes with a closed toe for walking around. You will not want to have sandals here, they are not good for walking in areas that are rugged.
It doesn't matter what season of the year you come to the Sunshine Coast there are certain things you have to have with you all the time, bug repellent and sunscreen. In this region of the world the sun is extremely strong all year so you want to have sunscreen with an SPF 30, and a hat and sunglasses to sheild your eyes. Most of the bugs in this area don't bite but they can be a bother so the bug spray will discourage them, and a dryer sheet in your pocket will help also.
