Mumbai is one of the most well known cities in India and one that attracts many tourists from all corners of the world each year

. Here are a few places you can see in Mumbai if you choose to travel there for your vacation.

Mumbai is famous for its Marine drive. Stretching along the Arabian Sea, the Marine drive is often crowded with locals that come here to enjoy the fresh breeze coming from across the sea. The place is beautiful, especially at night, when it is all brightly lit earning it the name Queen's Necklace. If you are looking for a relaxing experience take a walk along the Marine drive.

For a pleasant afternoon, you can also go see Chowpatti, the best beach in Mumbai that is crowded during peak hours. You will never get the chance to starve while here, because there are plenty of food stalls located all over the beach. Sunbathing is one activity you can indulge in while here, but this is not the only one. You also have the chance to see the famous Ganesh Chaturthi events.

If you boo a room in a five star hotel there is a good chance that you will be very close to one of Mumbai's most important highlights, the Gateway of India. This construction was erected at the beginning of the 20th century to honor the visit made by King George and Queen Mary.

When you are looking for entertainment you need to go to Essel World. This is an amusement park that is by tourists in search of great quality fun. Located in close proximity to Gorai Beach, Essel World can be thought of as India's Disneyland. You can climb into a roller coaster for a veritable adrenaline rush, or you can visit the water world areas where everyone seems to have a lot of fun.

For some great bargains on items like clothing, souvenirs, shoes and others, you need to visit the Chor Bazaar. The name translates in English to 'Thief's Market' because everything you are going to buy is nothing less than a steal. Make sure you have plenty of room to carry everything home, as you may be tempted to buy too much after seeing the incredibly low prices.

Another famous beach in Mumbai is Juhu, where many young people come for a great deal of fun. The sunsets here can be beautiful and are the main attraction of the beach. In close proximity you will find an airport and some luxury hotels.

Mumbai is also the place where you can visit Bollywood. Representing the very prosperous movie industry in India, Bollywood is one of the city's great attractions. The Film City can be visited and is one amazing experience in itself as it is populated by beautiful gardens, amazing lakes, helipads, and many buildings.
