Nothing lasts forever' - or so the old saying goes. But maybe it can. Have you ever thought what you would do with your Adirondack Furniture and other outdoor patio furniture when you are tired of it or it's passed it's sell-by date'? Well, I guess it all depends on the type of furniture you chose to purchase in the first place.

Ten years ago, when you decided to buy those beautiful cedar Adirondack Chairs, you thought they looked absolutely marvellous. They were the talking point of the neighborhood and you just loved to invite all your friends and family over for drinks just to show them off and demonstrate how comfortable they were. You just loved sharing precious moments with your family when you could sit back in these relaxing chairs and watch the sunset, while you enjoyed a cold beer. And everyone thought the cedar Adirondack Furniture was wonderful. It had that natural look & apparently a lasting quality that you wanted and you can't beat natural cedar wood, now can you?

At the end of the season you pushed those chairs to one side in an effort to protect them from the weather. The winter came and went and then, every summer, you pulled those chairs out and made the running repairs needed before you could enjoy them again. Now, just a few short years later, the running repairs are becoming more like a re-build and you think it's time to buy some new chairs. Perhaps you will choose teak or pine this time. But what will you do with the old ones?

Did you ever consider that your Adirondack Furniture could be recycled when you are tired of it? Well, consider this - polywood furniture is not only made of recycled materials but can be recycled ITSELF. The process of recycling all those plastic bottles and milk jugs that would otherwise end up in a landfill is the same process that can be used to take your old furniture and make it into something new. Perhaps you'll choose a bright color this time, that doesn't need to be re-painted each year. And think of the time you'll save each summer when you can pull out the Adirondack Furniture, give it a quick wipe over with soap & water ready to sit and watch the sunset - and all before your beers gets warm! They can even make it look and FEEL like wood too.

If you chose wooden furniture - like teak, cedar or pine - you'll probably be chopping it for firewood next winter. That in itself is a great way to recycle something! But it's not going to have a lasting impression, now is it?
