What You Need To Start Out In Tennis?
A good tennis racket is the base of all the tennis training
. Without a good racket playing good tennis is like learning to drive with the street chock full of snow. So a good racket is the basis of every good tennis player: be sure to find a racket that feels not too heavy and that is easily maneuverable, but do not choose one that is too lightweight or you will end up having no control at all on the ball. Also, remember to bring it back to the shop once every month of training because the strings on the racket tend to loosen up, degrading its quality. At the beginning there is no need to have more than one racket, one is more than enough to start out. Also, a good equipment is best when starting out. Especially shoes. Tennis shoes are mandatory especially on red courts because of the high grip required. There are many famous brand that produce tennis shoes, just choose the one that appeals you the most. Be sure to find a pair that fits your foot perfectly, or else you will risk to get blisters on your feet. White socks are also a necessary requirement. The rest of the clothes need no particular maintenance, just choose clothing that leaves your limbs free to move without pulling. The right balls are also a necessary requirement. There are some low pressure tennis balls out there for the kids, but I suggest to start right now with the standard tennis balls, to get more the feel of what a real tennis ball feels. Usually for training 20 or 30 balls are more than enough, but if you are strict on money even a tube of 3 balls is right to start out. If you plan on training often with many balls, also consider the purchase of a tennis ball hopper. These little tools are very easy to use and speed up considerably the ball collecting. Not a requirement but surely they help in long training sessions. This is about all you need to have before starting out with tennis. Any other accessory is, as the name suggest, just something you do not need right now. You will get the feel with time of what you will need and what not.
