In the World of Warcraft, there is a class that can learn the skill of World of Warcraft lockpicking and they are the rogues. Rogues have the ability to learn this skill and only them alone. What is this skill for anyway? World of Warcraft lockpicking is for opening treasure boxes that may contain rare loots and opening secret dungeon doors. Because of this skill, parties always get a rogue on board to increase the chance of getting rare loot and finishing the instance faster.

Lockpicking is not a skill that you can get by skill points; it is something that you will need to learn. In the early levels of a rogue, you will come across a quest that will enable you to get the lockpicking skill, however, most noobies do not know what the quest is for and tends to set it aside. During the early levels, you can level the lockpicking skill easily as you can obtain keys from the blacksmith to open up certain boxes but it gets harder as you level up the skill. You will be given a quest to find higher level boxes that are very hard to find and that is the only way to level up your World of Warcraft lockpicking skill.

In dungeons, rogues are sought for because they can pick locked doors that will make speed runs possible. If the group is just hunting for special items or grinding, speed runs are a must and to be able to reach the bosses, you will need to take the secret passages which only rogues can open. Also, there are rare treasure chests that can be found in dungeons and the only way you can open them is if you have a rogue in your group.

There came a point in World of Warcraft when people have been very reliant in the lockpicking skills of a rogue. Game developers tried to remedy the situation by making dungeons that do not have any secret doors and enabling players to get high level keys for high level boxes from blacksmiths. But game developers also try to balance the situation by making the crafting of these keys quite hard. Players will find a hard time looking for the crafting materials and will end up using the skill of a rogue. But the good part is that players will now have the chance to get rare items when they come across a rare box. The World of Warcraft lockpicking skill is very handy and if you find this interesting, you should make a rogue class in-game.
