What You Should Know About Bed Bug Symptoms And Pest Control
It is very important to know about bed bugs as well as Bed Bug Symptoms
. The signs and symptoms of bed bug presence can be categorized into two; they are 1) bites and related issues, 2) evidence or physical signs. Here we shall discuss about the evidence or physical signs that can prove presence of bed bugs. The five common signs are:
Blood Stains- Blood is the main food for these pests. In fact it is their first and last meal. So blood stains are very common when there is bed bug infestation. They come out to have food in the early hours of dawn when you are enjoying your sound sleep. During this time you may roll over them unexpectedly and crush them while they are feeding. This leaves behind blood stains.
Eggs- It may be difficult for you to spot the eggs because they are only 1/16 long. Usually, females lay their eggs in the cracks and crevices of the frames in your bed, furniture, bed boards or areas where they cannot be easily viewed. They remain attached to these areas with the help of a very sticky substance secreted by them
Live Bed Bugs- If you see a live bed bug you can be sure that there is either an ongoing infestation or it is going to begin. Alive bed bug is flat, oval and thin. However, after their meal they appear to be round and elongated like a cigar as well as reddish in color.
Skin Castings- These blood sucking bed bugs molt 5 times during their life cycle. During molting they grow beyond the size of their exoskeleton which they have to shed and continue to grow. This takes place for the first time when the egg hatches and the new nymph has its first meal of blood. After this subsequent molting and feedings happen until they get matured. The remaining skin casting shows
Bed Bug Symptoms. This skin casting is light, opaque and cannot be seen in the absence of good flashlight.
Fecal Matter- When there is significant infestation these bugs congregate together and when this takes place you can spot fecal matter.
