There are some problems you might have when you are a dog or cat owner. And one of that problem might be fleas. Over 2,000 species of fleas have been described worldwide. Flea is the common name for an insect( Siphonaptera ) with mouthparts adapted for piercing skin and sucking blood. Fleas cause irritations to pets and people. Both of them can suffer allergic reactions. Flea bites create a small, hard, red, itchy spot, which can remain itchy and inflamed for up to several weeks. Flea bites can lead to hair loss and sometimes to anemia in extreme cases. They can transmit deseases like bubonic plague(from rodents to humans by carrying bacteria), endemic typhus fever.
