Store managers are often heavily involved in promoting the business, which can involve producing marketing materials, attending industry events and placing advertising campaigns in the local press. In addition, store managers are frequently encouraged to suggest and implement ways of improving the company's performance, such as adjusting prices or changing opening hours to keep an edge over other local businesses.
