Focus on yourself and avoid smothering him. If you allow yourself to appear a bit mysterious, he may be reminded of why he loved you in the first place. Let him make the first move, and play a little hard to get (but not too much). There's a good chance you'll come out on top and won't have to keep asking yourself "What can I do to get him back?"
