What if he does not call? Should you call him? Is it best to chalk it all up to a bad experience and move forward? Or should you wait it out hoping that he's just gotten really busy? All good questions, but what's the right answer? If you've been dating a guy and you feel too much time has passed since he last called, there's just one thing you need to do. You need to ignore the issue.

We've all been taught that men love it when a woman is the pursuer. The problem with this is that too many women take the role of the aggressor much too far. They end up being the one who calls him and they do it frequently. Calling him repeatedly, several times throughout the day isn't going to capture his heart. It's actually going to make him push you away. He wants to be the one who chases you. Never lose sight of that.

The fact of the matter is that there are many reasons why a man doesn't call. He may actually just be so engrossed with something else going on in his life that he hasn't had time. Perhaps you're not as far up his priority list as you'd like to believe you are. Another scenario is that he's simply playing it cool because he doesn't want to come across as being desperate.

Regardless of the reason behind his not calling, you have to stay strong in your resolve to not call him. By doing so you're sending him a very clear message that if he wants to continue to see you, he has to be the one to make contact.

You may think that by not reaching out to him at all, you're actually sending the opposite message that being that you're not interested. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. If you consider the fact that men are more inclined to chase a woman who plays hard to get, you should adopt that attitude. Many men actually don't call because they do use it as a gauge to test a woman's interest. If she's already calling the next day wondering why he didn't call, his interest is dampened. He has her and he knows it. That's not a position you ever want to put yourself in when you're dating a man.

Just remember that if he's interested, the man will call. Keep calm, cool and collected and wait for the phone to ring. You'll be glad you found the patience to wait it out once you see how attentive he is.
