What is Amalaki - What is Zrii - And is the Chopra Center Really Endorsing it? by:Darlene Tabler
What is Amalaki?
What is Amalaki?
Amalaki or (Embica Officinalis) is a small green fruit that grows at the base of the Pristine Himalayan mountain range in northern India. Amalaki is often referred to as the "Great Rejuvenator" or "Fruit of Immortality". It is also described as a potent anti-inflammatory, elixir for the skin and hair, digestive aid, and metabolic enhancer. In Ayurveda, (translated from Sanskrit to mean "Science of Life") a 5000 year old medical practice from India, amalaki is described as the single most significant botanical for stimulating cellular rejuvenation, immune function and increased vitality.
In fact the Chopra Center for Wellbeing, long held as one of the most well respected experts in Ayrurvedic medicine in the world has been encouraging the daily use of Amalaki for over a decade.
What is Zrii?
Zrii is a company and a product based around amalaki, yet it also includes 6 additional supporting actives to help 'potentize' the amalaki. Combined they are said to be rich in antioxidants, free-radical scavenging polyphenols, and bio-stable Vitamin C. Zrii's proprietary amalaki formulation also includes:
Turmeric (root) shown to improve digestion, circulation, and reduce inflammation.
Tulsi (leaf) also shown to improve digestion and intestinal health.
Schizandra (fruit) enhances mental function and memory
Jujube (fruit) serves as a mild rejuvenative, and calms the nerves
Haritaki (fruit) nourishes tissues and serves as a mild-detoxifier.
Ginger (root) improves absorption, digestion, and assimilation
A world class team of award-winning Western medical doctors, world-renown Ayurvedic physicians and PhD's in chemistry took over 60 formulations to develop Zrii. Not only were the hoping to create a densely nutritious product, but one that would "enliven the tongue", a hallmark of Ayurveda's use of food for healing. Did they succeed? Only you can be the judge. I have personally tried Zrii and found the taste very pleasing.
Is the Chopra Center really endorsing Zrii?
The Chopra Center for Wellbeing, co-founded by Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon is a world-renowned health and wellness center, known for its integration of the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda and the best of modern healing systems. In fact Zrii was created only after Bill Farley CEO met with the founders of the center in September 2006 and learned about Amalaki from them.
The Chopra Center for Wellbeing has been in operation for 15 years, and has never endorsed a third party product. That is until now! That endorsement now sits on the back of every bottle of Zrii!
