What is Fat, How We Gain it and Why Do We Need Fat?
To lose your extra weight first you need to investigate what fat is and where it comes from
? If you fully understand what are you doing and why - results of your tries will come faster - deliberate actions are always more effective.
All food products consist of food substances, more or less rich with energy and also vitamins, salt, micro elements, cellulose and water. Food contain energy in the form of nutrients - protein, fats and carbohydrates. While splitting them other less rich with energy compounds are generated. Free energy is being extracted while the process that is essential for vital functions.
The main principle of losing weight is easy- if you do not get enough energy from food, it will be produced from supplies - above all fat supplies, so you will lose weight. But if you overeat, all extra energy will be stored to supplies and you will gain weight.
So, to keep your weight stable incoming energy should be equal to spending energy.
Fat cells are adipocytes. Adipocyte is made of a big fat drop, that moves other cell elements (including nucleus) to periphery. Saving fat is a normal physiological process, it is essential for surviving. The main aim of fat cell is saving energy in the form of fat. At the expense of fat human body can starve for almost two months. Also adipose tissue is storing water in the body. We need fat for heat insulation, body uses it to produce female hormones and adipose tissue is protecting our organs mechanically. And all these are not all of the functions of fat. So - we need fat.
What is adipose tissue?Adipose tissue is an accumulation of fat cells. Fat deposits are situated under the skin and around inner organs, also under connective tissue membranas, that cover the muscles. All fat tissue divides on separate lobes of different shape and size by inter layers of loose connective tissue. Blood and lymphatic vessels go through the interlayers and surround groups of fat cells. Every fat cell has a contact with at least one capillary, due to it different substances go to the cell and decay products are evacuated from the cell.
While obesity fat cell increases, contact with capillars breaks, in that way there is no metabolism in such cells. Cells are not being cleaned from waste products, fat tissue becomes a waste dump.
There are tree layers of fat tissue. Hypodermic layer is in charge of our proportions and body lines, it covers all body and everywhere it has different thickness and density. Cellulite is exactly in this layer. The hypodermic layer thickness depends on the thickness of fat fold. It is very easy to define fold thickness - grab a fat fold in upright position with your two fingers - space between fingers will be the thickness of your hypodermic fat layer in this place. This kind of fat is most easy to get rid of. Second layer is deeper - under muscular tissue, it is "strategic" stocks of our body. Third layer is situated in abdominal cavity (visceral fat). Outwardly it is noticeable as big and elastic belly (like beer belly). Sometimes the hypodermic layer thickness can be only 2-3sm but waist girth quite big - it means that visceral fat predominates in the body. It is common knowledge that too wide waist is dangerous (woman - over 80sm, man - over 90sm).
