What is it?

Paintball can be played individually or as a team. Basically you are hiding from your opponents and when you spot one, you shot them with little balls of paint. This tells them they have been struck by the opposition and are out of the game. The balls of paint are actually food color and gelatin and are non toxic. The colorful substance is biodegradable and believe it or not, water soluble.

How it's played

There are many places across the country that actually takes paintball to a level of serious competition. Now if you just want to go play a leisurely game there are different paintball courses that are outside or indoors. They also vary in the size and if it is located outside, might actually have a little terrain to deal with. Believe it or not, the army and some police forces use paintballs for crowd control and riot or protest peacekeeping. If things get out of hand they will shoot these at the crowd and the worst that will happen is a little sting.

So now that you are interested in starting up a game of paintball you need to know where to get paintballs supplies and exactly what supplies you will need. You will need protective gear because there is quite a sting from a paintball hit. This is not something you would want on bare skin. Of course you will need a paintball marker or also known as a paintball gun, paintballs or ammo, and goggles. Even though paintballs are non toxic you would not want to get struck in the eyes.

Paintball has really taken on a whole new genre in the world of gaming. From the extreme paintball competitions to the just the causal Saturday afternoon play, it can be fun and exhilarating. Being stealth as a cat with an eye like a Hawk will win you the game. So have a little fun, think outside the box and play some paintball!
