The key thing to remember about a niche and niche marketing online is that it is very specific and it does not include more than one idea, product or service, which is how it differs from mass marketing or general marketing.

Now that we have covered what a niche is, it is a little easier to define a sub niche. A sub niche is a service, idea or product that has been broken down from the general niche. For example, yoga is a niche but yoga for pregnant women is a sub niche of yoga. Niches can be broken down into very specific key phrases and terms when it comes to Internet marketing.

When niche marketing online, the marketer typically has a website and campaigns for that one niche or sub niche. The marketer can have several different websites, each with their own niche on them, but the important thing to remember is that a niche or sub niche is used to reach a very targeted audience. If a marketer is marketing more than one product on a website, then their efforts are not as focused as they could be and the campaign could be reaching people who are not interested in what is being offered or sold.
