A domain name is exactly like your business street address but it is an street address on the world wide web for your company website/s. A domain is a category of the world wide web that you or another organization purchases so that you can let people know about your business. So what are the different three letter endings on website address? Beneath is an illustration of 3 different types.

So what do these three different three letter domain ends imply? These are just three of the hundreds of domain ends that you might see around, but these are three of the major types.. The .com is all about the commercial interest, so this means that the site offers or provides a service for money, the .com is also refered to the US where .com.au would be commerial interest in Australia. While the 2nd 1 has a .gov which representations that it's a government website. The last one is somewhat different it has the .com but it additionally has a .au attached to the end of the .com.

Every country has a .com.?? the ?? will be letter that refer to your country easily so .au will equal Australia and .fr will refer to France. So the .com.au is for an Australian enterprise while the .com.fr is for a French company.

So what is the difference between the URL and the Domain name? Good question! Well the difference is that the domain name is the end of the url and the url is the actual name that you type between the www. and the .com. The Url is the physical address of your website, very similar to the address of your business.

A sub domain is a way to quickly and easily separate your present domain into scaled-down and simpler workable pieces. Usually the only business that use sub domains are huge companies with enormous sites or businesses that want different components of their web site for bosses or someone else. So what can a sub domain look like? Well it's just like www.businesswebdesigns.com.au but with a section in front of it. www.subdomain.businesswebdesigns.com of course the sub domain will not be called sub domain it will be called anything you like. www.employers.businesswebdesigns.com.au
