What is golf buggie?
Golf buggies are miniature vehicles designed originally to move two golf players and their golf clubs across the golf playing area or on desert trails with less work than hiking.
Golf buggies are designed in a vast stretch of formats and are more regularly used to transfer small quantity of passengers over a short distances at speeds lower than 25 km/h per ANSI Standard z130.1 as originally manufactured. They are almost always around 4 feet (1.2 m) wide x 8 feet (2.4 m) long x 6 feet (1.8 m) high and weigh from 400 kg 500 kg. Most are powered by 4-stroke engines.
The price of a golf car can stretch anywhere from $2,500 - $20,000 per car, relying on different factors. These factors may comprise whether or not a fleet of cars are being ordered for a golf field or a country club, for instance, and whether the cars are new or used. Other factors may include options such as kit and kaboodle requirements, and how many golf player the buggie is intended to transport. With the rise in popularity of golf buggies, many golf clubs or country clubs give depository and energy options to golf cart owners. This has led to the refitting of golf buggies to adapt use at the specific golf grounds. Standard modification includes windshields, ball cleaners, cooler trays, stronger motors or speed controller (to increase speed and/or torque), and lift kits.
Initially golf buggies were electrically powered, but in time gasoline-powered variants started to reveal. Electric golf buggies were the first mass-produced electric vehicles for exclusive consumer use. This diversity is now used in many communities where their scarcity of pollutants, lack of noise, and security for pedestrians and other vehicles (due to low speeds) are crucial. When purpose-built for general transportation these are called Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEVs), but with various operating limitations such as top speed and heavy standardization on which type of streets these types of cars are authorized to be used. These may resemble the golf buggies shown above, although certain are now being produced with all-weather car-like bodies.
