Web hosting: A company that provides Web hosting services is called a Web host, and their services of server storage, Internet connectivity, and services are called Web hosting plans. There are literally thousand (maybe even hundred of thousands) of Web hosting companies which offer these services to the public. The size of these companies range anywhere from individuals to worldwide corporations.

Domain name: A domain name is the unique name that identifies an internet Web site. Domain names always have two or more parts, separated by dots. The part on the left is the more general.

Reseller: A Web hosting reseller purchases a hosting package from a regular or specialized Web host and resells the Web hosting service under his own brand name.

Data center:A data center is a highly secure, fault-resistant facility housing customer equipment that connects to telecommunications networks. These facilities accommodate Web servers, switches, routers, and racks. Data centers support corporate Web sites and as an example provide server locations for Web hosting companies.
