Many women today don't realize their self worth

. We don't realize how much power we have in the world today. We underestimate ourselves in so many levels which lead to heartaches, stress, anger, animosity. All these feelings can easily be avoided if we got our priorities right and realize how valuable we are as human beings.

We find ourselves subjected to identifying ourselves as being weak, frail, and defenseless. How can we let our worth be defined by society, in most cases the media? Not only is it crucial to identify your worth but it is essential we all do. Loving one's self doesn't require the approval of anyone but you. It is true that approval or compliments from others can help boost confidence. But this confidence has to first come from within. If this is not coming from within, then this acquired confidence can easily be destroyed by the same people that made you feel that way.

I can sit here and write about acknowledging our self worth all day but that really doesn't help in anyway. Easier said than done right? We have to learn from the very beginning by pretending we know our personal value. With time we learn to accept what we have been telling ourselves all along. Do not allow anyone dictate what they believe our lives should be worth. Looking yourself in the mirror everyday and saying," I am the best person I can be everyday". Write down, everything that is good about you and dwell on that. Take time and do things by yourself. We tend to depend on others to enjoy the little pleasures life has to offer. Take a walk in the park. Think of something you are good at and work on it. Find a hobby. Sit in a quiet corner and read a book. Go to the beach and reflect on life. Look at all you have had to overcome over the years and see where you are today. If its not what you envisioned, then its time to make a change.

If you have noticed, successful women exude tremendous confidence in every aspect of their lives. They believe in their self worth. The believe they are the controller's of their destiny. They believe their impact on this world, no matter what magnitude. Happiness, to me is the fundamental part of realizing our self worth. If one is happy with themselves, they are able to conquer all barriers.

Unhappiness leads to negativity which in turn affects others, most importantly affect us. Unhappiness can lead to envy, gossip, the feeling of wanting to destroy another's life or bringing them down, not feeling wanted, low self esteem and so on.

Take a step back today. Make a decision about what path you want to take in your life. Do not allow anyone to dictate your self worth. Ask yourself tough questions. Ask yourself; Are you happy when you prey into people's lives/homes and cause confusion? Does that make you feel worthy if you are successful in doing just that? Do you feel worthy by the number of men who claim they want to be with you? Do you feel worthy because you have a lot of friends? Is quantity better than quality. Do you feel worthy, when complimented everyday? Do you really feel deserving of the amount of money you spend on material things like clothes or shoes, etc. Don't get me wrong. These material things definitely make one happy and in good spirits. But my point is not to depend on them solely in order to dictate your happiness and self worth. If your answer to any of these questions is yes then you have to reevaluate yourself. Make a change today!
