First the dentist will remove your decayed tooth and make necessary adjustments with your gums and nearby tooth so that the new tooth can be placed easily. The dentist will then take an impression of your tooth so that same tooth can be made of the same size. The tooth can take almost a week or two to be made and until then the dentist will put a temporary crown which will be then removed when the new tooth has been made in the laboratory.
