Traveling can be particularly traumatic for pets, especially if they have never flown because the sounds and smells inside the airplane are very different than they have ever been exposed to. If you have the wheeled pet carrier, but your dog is considered too large to board on the plane, consider having the dog sent via a door-to-door pet service. Otherwise, your dog will be in the same area as your cargo, underneath the plane and this can be especially traumatic for the dog. This is why it is so important to know all the regulations on pet carriers before you show up at the airport.

Lastly, while traveling can be stressful for both you and your pet, you can make it easier on yourself with the wheeled pet carrier because it provides a way to keep your pet comfortable and it makes it easier for you when you are juggling luggage and other personal belongings. Prices vary considerably on pet carriers with wheels because they come in various sizes and materials, so shopping around is definitely the way to get the best price.
