When Betting Your Nfl, Nba Or College Sports Picks, Always Be Objective
With the popularity of the NFL, NBA and College Sports today
, sports betting enthusiasts have flocked to the various internet sports betting sites to try to pit their abilities against the millions of other proud handicappers who also believe they have a sixth (or even seventh) sense when it comes to sports handicapping. However, when an avid team fan extracts his wallet to make a bet, it often makes no difference how recently he has read the number one rule in sports betting: do not bet on games that your favorite team is involved in unless you can bet objectively, which by the way, you probably can't. A third grader could read that rule and pretty well understand every word of it. Actually following it on the other hand, is not all that easy.
Where in that sentence does it say your favorite team should get a few "final chances" to cover the spread before you bet with the line? A good way to evaluate if you can bet objectively is to try to place a bet against your favorite team because if you are unable to bet against your favorite team, you certainly have no objectivity. Nowhere in that rule do I see any indication of flexibility in favor of your favorite team when betting your best NFL, college or NBA picks. In fact you would very likely be much better off not betting on your favorite team at all. Ever.
If you are making your own picks, make sure that you do your research going through news reports on the teams on a regular basis. You should follow the various injury reports of all teams that make up the NBA, NFL and College sports leagues, as well. Remember, only five players can play at a time in the NBA and College basketball so it only takes a single injury in basketball to a key player to swing the odds to the opposing teams favor. If you do not have the time to follow both leagues closely, don't guess, just bet within the league that you can thoroughly follow. In football there are more players so key running backs and quarterbacks either out or playing injured become the bigger focus.
Another important NBA, NFL and College betting tip that you need to always consider is to take a look into the history of the rivalry between the teams. Once two teams begin to play regularly against each other in a certain league, there is every possible chance of a pattern forming, with one team being more dominant than the other or one team at least being much more dominant at home than the opponent. Find a pattern and weigh it into your handicapping! Recognizing patterns and trends in professional and college sports can help you develop the pattern of finding winning NFL picks and winning NBA picks.
