The initial stage of a break up is a depressing phase
. No one wants to be in a position such as that one. You have mixed emotions such as anger, sadness, and loneliness and there may be times that you want to call him up so you can get back together with him. Before doing that, you may want to increase your chances of him coming back.When you're ready, you should give him a call but there are certain rules you must follow in order to avoid sounding so desperate.
Lie low for a month. Use this time for healing and getting yourself out of that miserable state you're in. With you being like that, there's no way in hell he's ever going to want you back. Remember, you're just hurt; you want to believe that he's the only one who can make you happy. That's not true. There are other guys out there -- better than him -- so don't cry over spilled milk.
Within that one month, don't stay in your room because that will only make you sad and lonely. Try hanging out with your friends. As much as possible, go out and have fun. Find something you like to do and stick with it. During this time, you should be learning to live life without your ex around.
To help you with your healing process, think of what guys find attractive. They like girls who are independent and are confident in themselves. Guys are not attracted to girls who don't have a life outside her relationship with her boyfriend. Guys would definitely pick the independent girl over the clingy one at any given day.
After a month, you should already know if you're ready or not. Being ready means not having to cry at the first sight of him. You will not feel any uneasiness or nervousness when you talk. You also wouldn't mind if the two of you just remain friends. If you can check all that then you're good to go.
