Have you ever been lost? I don't mean a little bit oh-no-I've-gone-the-wrong-way lost. I mean really lost. When dry panic sets in.

The definition of being lost is 'to be missing, off track.'Not a good place to be. So what has all this to do with being hurt, being bitter and being angry? Well it's a journey. You start somewhere you do not choose i.e someone hurts you. It may be physical, it may be sexual, it may be with words, it may be once, it may be repeatedly,whatever it is it hurts and the hurt sticks. After a while you start to feel resentful, suspicious, untrusting and even hateful. You want justice and if you don't get it you start to close down inside.

That's when the real losing starts. You see you have already lost something when you got hurt, but the further down the road you go without dealing with what is happening to you,the more you stand to lose. I know because I have been there,in fact there is probably a road there with my name on it.

I'm not saying you did anything to warrant getting hurt.I'm not saying that some things aren't almost impossible to overcome. I'm not saying that you don't have deep feelings or that this can all be over easily or quickly. I'm just saying what I know to be true. God did not want you hurt, He does not want you to stay hurt and He WILL help you to find your way out of the pain and the loss.

Even if you can't trust anyone else, take it from someone who's been there, you can trust Him. Whenthere's no way out, when you can't forgive, when all is lost, when there's no way back. Take it to Him.

I know there's bound to come some trouble to your life

But reach out to Jesus, hold on tight

He's been there before and He knows what it's like

You'll find He's there
