When Snow Boots Become A Mess

When the weather became incredibly cold and damp along with coming of the horrible winter, the first thing I did was to treat myself with a pair of expensive snow boots. This pair of snow boots cost me quite a lot of money, and, in return, they kept me warmer than ever. They were soft and comfortable. I was so satisfied with my snow boots and wore them very carefully.

But one day, incredibly, my snow boots became a big mess! It was actually not my boots' responsibility. All the problems came because I didn't realize that I had no idea about how to clean and maintain a pair of expensive snow boots!

That afternoon, I noticed that my boots were too dirty to wear and I decided to wash them. According to my limited knowledge about cleaning, I thought that I should prepare some hot water to make the washing job much easier. I did so and then soaked the boots inside the hot water with cleanser inside the hot water, just like my mother washing her dirty uniform. Then I left the boots in my bathroom and decided to check them the next morning.

It came the second day and I went to clean my snow boots. Guess what I saw? My expensive snow boots became a mess inside the container! The shape of the boots was totally ruined and the fur inside the boots was attached to the skin. It was so horrible! I stood there almost screaming. Immediately, I got them out of the water and made them dry. But either of them looked like a boot any more. They lay in my balcony, looking like a pair of dead birds.

Later I checked the information about the care tips of the snow boots on Internet. It came out that I was wrong from the very beginning. No one would ever put the snow boots inside the hot water, let alone with cleanser inside the water. The right way to clean the snow boots is to dip them in the cold or warm water, not the whole boots, but 80% of their bodies. And then use a little brush, usually a toothbrush is fine, to brush the surface of the boots gently. Besides, there was cleanser that used for snow boots washing only. The particular cleanser not only helps to clean the dirty spots in the boots, but also keeps the fur soft as before.

Now I have to buy a new pair of snow boots. Hope my mistake could be your great suggestion.
