When people's lives can be dependent on how fast a delivery can be made, it makes sense to use the fastest and most flexible delivery method available, and in most cases this means using a helicopter. Almost all major hospitals have a relationship of some kind with a helicopter delivery company, and some even have landing areas for helicopters right on their grounds. They provide the best option for critical deliveries such as when organs need to be moved for transplants.
