When Your Girl Brings The Turkey Home

Parents love their children and always want them to be safe

. They try to be the shield against all the odds. But, in the way to do so, they end up in a situation where they tend to control the life of their young ones. And, in the other hand youngsters become rebellious as they feel they are quite adult to take their own decisions. The generation gap is the reason for this tug of war.

It's so obvious that it will be hard for the parents to accept that their babies are grownups now. But, it's very necessary to acknowledge the truth. Now you can't just scold them or restrict their activities. You need to make them understand the situation and see the ugly consequences. And, the youngsters need to realize that their parents have full faith in them but, not on this world. They only try to protect them.

Most of the parents remain dumb struck when there lovely daughter confesses that she has got a boyfriend. What to do? You can't lock her up nor can control her emotions but, you are afraid that she might get hurt. So, parents buckle up and try to be your daughter's friend. Invite the so called couple for lunch or dinner. With your experienced eye seek his intentions. Talk with your girl to know how she feels. Bear her emotional dramas. Try to comprehend that whether she is having a crush, or an infatuation, or a physical attraction, or in serious love. If it's a crush or an infatuation she will get over it. For physical attraction, you should prevent her from indulging herself in any sexual activities. Forewarn her, the emotional pain she has bear if the relationship don't work out and take the assurance that she will get herself indulged in such activities when any relationship has gone up to that level, when both the parties are prepared for marriage. But, if she is in serious love, go and get hold of the boy. Check if he feels the same or not. Talk with the boy's parents. And, never forget to make your girl self sufficient and emotionally strong.

Parents aren't immortals and your girl is going to get married too. So, all the mother's and father's of the daughters must realize, that after a certain time their baby girl has to lead her life without them and their protection. Admit the veracity and give your child the proper upbringing so that she can differentiate between good or bad. She should know, which turkey to keep and, which one to slaughter.
