Eventually getting to stage where it assumes the consistency and appearance of raw egg white. This is nature's way of making it easier for the sperm to get to the egg as the thicker. Cloudier mucus is more difficult to penetrate.

What you must start doing is to follow the progress of your CM over a number of months. That way you will get to know what your cm looks like at different stages of your ovulation cycle.

How is all this meant to help you get pregnant? You need to time intercourse to coincide within a few days before you ovulate and maybe a few days after ovulation. The egg has the greatest chance of being fertilised by the sperm at this time.
