Where Are All The Jobs?

Jobs are one of the key factors to help the economy get back on its feet

. While there are many people who have jobs and that want to work in jobs, there are millions who do not have any type of employment right now. These people not having jobs is a major political issue including how their unemployment is handled. While jobs may not seem like the largest issue at the moment, it is one of the largest and growing even larger each day.

The main problem the United States is having with its job market is that we have exported a large portion of the manufacturing that the country used to have. People who did not have any education further than high school would earn a good wage working in these factors and be able to support their families. However, the problem has become that many people who do not have any further education beyond high school are no longer working in these jobs. The jobs do not exist any more or there are very few of them.

Jobs that are available for college graduates have even decreased. However, this is a much more temporary problem due to the simple economic situation that we are currently in. Many companies have become much more cautious and are not willing to hire anyone during the times that the country currently is in. While this may seem like a bad idea and is not one of the best ideas that our country has ever had, jobs are still available for people who graduate and have the proper credentials.

Learning when to find jobs is one of the toughest problems. When you look at many of the major companies they may have dozens of job listings but are not actually hiring anyone. This may be because they need to post the position but do not have the funding, want to institute cost savings or any number of reasons.

Finding jobs can be done through networking. Network with people who are in the same industry as you so that you can utilize them as resources down the road. Knowing people within different industries can help you to find potential jobs that would otherwise not appear. Do not pass up simple opportunities. While the job that you are finding now might not be the jobs that you have had in the past, at least it is some money coming into your pocket in order to pay the bills. Jobs are few and far between, you may have to accept a job that you do not fall in love with.
