Where Are You Supposed To Get A Taxi At O'hare?

If you've never travelled into Chicago before

, the airport can easily appear a bit overwhelming at first. This is one of the largest and busiest airports in the world, and it can be intimidating when you're trying to navigate your way through it for the first time. However, the terminals are actually laid out in a very straightforward manner. You should have no problem getting your bags and making your way to an area where you can be met by your taxi with ease.

When you fly into O'Hare, you will end up walking out into the arrivals area. If you already have your bags, from here, it will be an easy matter to make your way to the taxi. If not, you will have to proceed to the baggage collection area to collect your luggage before you head out to find a ride.

After you have your luggage in tow, all you have to do is proceed to the front of the arrivals area at O'Hare airport. Once you walk out the front doors, you should immediately see the taxi stand where all cars will come to wait for their customers. Proceed to that area in order to meet the car that you booked.

It is important to know that you probably won't be able to just hail a random cab at O'Hare. You should make a point of always calling ahead and asking a taxi to wait for you at the appropriate time. This is because at Chicago airports, there is a no standing rule in place for taxis. This means that the cars can't simply stand around in front of the airports waiting to pick up a fare. They can only be parked in those areas for a small amount of time before someone will force them to leave, or will possibly issue them a ticket, so if you're planning on leaving the airport via a taxi, you should be sure to call ahead and book one.

This also means that you're going to need to make sure that you have your luggage with you when you go out to meet a taxi. A driver isn't going to be able to come and help you load your luggage or anything like that. As long as you can get your bags out to the car though, your driver should be willing to help you load your goods into their car.
