Which Ebook Reader Should You Choose?
There was a time when choosing an ebook reader was fairly simple. There was only one or two brands available and they were about the same price. Now, you can choose from a wide variety of brands that have different features, and you can get them very affordably. In fact, you can buy a reader that is much more powerful than one of the original ones for a fraction of the cost.
A lot of people choose their particular ebook reader based on size. You will want one that easily fits in your hand and is small enough for you to carry with you while you travel. You may want one that is small enough to put in your purse or briefcase, or you may want one that is a larger so you can see more on each screen.
What you get with an ebook reader that you don't get with a real book is being able to change the size of the type at will. If you prefer to read with larger type so you don't have to wear your glasses, it is easy. Most ebook readers also have a built in dictionary function so you can simply click on a word that you don't recognize and a definition will come right up. There are also many different features, such as highlighting and note taking that come with different models.
Most people will tell you that once they have tried an ereader, they never want to go back to shopping for or reading normal printed books again. This is not unusual, since when you have an ereader, you can shop for and start reading a book literally within seconds. You don't have to wait for it to arrive in the mail! When it comes to reading, it is nice to open up your ereader and see all of the books that you are reading, just waiting for you, right where you left them.
When it comes to buying a reader, you shouldn't really worry about how much capacity it has because you will never even come close to filling it, unless you plan on carrying an entire library around with you. The battery life is also not terribly important, since you will find that most ereader batteries will go on one charge for weeks at time, so you don't have to worry about charging it on a regular basis.
