Do you like working with people? What is better - working one-on-one with clients or in groups? Would you prefer to work independently or hire a team of employees to help grow your business? How about communication - do you like email, phone or face-to-face interactions?

Workspace

Yes, some internet businesses allow you to work exclusively from home, like a virtual assistant or transcription business. Alternatively, you can operate a mobile service online, which gives you a change of scenery, like a photography or professional organizing business. You can also run an event planning or party planning business online where you work from home, but also meet with clients and attend events.

Budget

Money can be a deciding factor when launching a business. You will find it difficult to buy a franchise when you only have $500 to invest. Are you working with a shoestring budget or do you have lots of capital available? Are you able to take out a loan, a line of credit or partner with someone who has significant funds? You want to know what you're starting with so you can find the business that best suits you.

Risk
