Which Type Of Fencing Supplier Do You Need?

When the term 'fencing suppliers' is used, two different things could be meant

. First, it could mean companies that provide supplies to people who enjoy the sport of fencing, second it could mean companies that supply the necessary equipment to fence off areas.

In the first case fencing suppliers would supply protective gear, blades, and the electronic paraphernalia of the modern sport of fencing. However, as a small sport, there are few specialist fencing suppliers and most tend to be simply a small part of sporting goods stores.

In the second, far more common, case, fencing suppliers are often large companies which supply fencing for a variety of purposes and can either focus on the wholesale level, supplying professional gardeners, fencing companies, and construction firms, or supply direct to the consumer on a smaller scale. This type of 'fencing suppliers' supply not only the obvious fencing panels, but also a variety of items designed to go around the process of fencing. Often, this includes concrete fence-posts to secure the fences, and occasionally garden landscaping or installation services.

There are differences in the types of fencing supplied by these companies, though many sell fencing from all areas. Domestic fencing is most often made mainly or entirely from timber, though concrete posts are common, but can traditionally be wrought iron. Mostly, domestic fencing is supplied with the intent of de-marking property, decorating the garden, and occasionally securing areas. However, other types of domestic fencing are more specialised, such as 'acoustic fencing' which is designed to absorb noise, and other types designed to focus on the security aspect of fencing.

Commercial fencing is very different, often being made primarily of chain-links or metal bars, or cheaply from chipboard. Temporary fencing, often erected around building sites, is designed to stop people wandering in. 'Palisade' or 'Paladin' fences are more permanent commercial fencing, designed with security or privacy foremost in mind and cost second, and decoration much lower on the list. Finally, agrarian fencing is supplied with the intention of limiting the movement of animals - both out, in the case of equestrian fencing, and in, in the case of rabbit netting.
