Once the spring season starts to arrive we all start looking to our gardens and our garden furniture. Sometimes the rigours of the winter have not treated our garden furniture well and if we left it outside unprotected, we may now be paying the price.

Cast aluminium garden furniture generally weathers well and will not deteriorate during the winter months. Being maintenance-free and rust-free, aluminium garden furniture should only need cleaning to bring it back to looking good. Outdoor furniture like this is great for the person who enjoys the pleasure of being outdoors without the hassle of working at it! Patio furniture comes in all shapes and sizes and materials used for manufacture are numerous. However, for the least amount of work when the Spring arrives, a garden furniture set constructed from cast aluminium is hard to beat!

Wooden garden furniture is another popular item for the garden and, once again, does not necessarily require a lot of maintenance. Teak garden furniture is affordable and durable and should last for many years, whether treated or not. Teak is a hardwood and can be left in its natural state or treated a couple of times a year with Teak Oil. Hardwood garden furniture should be protected in the winter to keep it away from frosts and freezing water but this is not absolutely essential. Think of all the garden benches you see in the park they are very rarely treated or protected and they seem to last for years! As long as your garden table and your garden chair are of good quality, you should not have any problems.

With garden furniture, you get what you pay for and if you purchase cheap garden furniture sets, they may not last as long as you would want. Metal garden furniture is easier to maintain but you may prefer the look and feel of wooden garden furniture. The choice is yours but at the end of the day, we all have different tastes in garden furniture and whether you choose cast aluminium garden furniture or wooden garden furniture, you are sure to be pleased with the result.
