Charles David "Chuck" Liddell is a former UFC champion who is widely credited with
bringing the UFC and mixed martial arts to the mainstream television. Chuck Liddell was born on the 17th of December 1969 and currently holds the record for the most fights participated in the UFC. Chuck is one of the most well known UFC superstars and was introduced into their hall of fame in 2009.
Liddell is known for his extensive training in the arts of Kenpo karate, Koei-Kan karate and Kickboxing and has a very good record in his kickboxing career of 20 wins with only 2 loses and 16 of those wins came by way of knockout.

Liddell began studying his art at the young age of 12 and has studied various martial art styles in his successful career. What most people don't know about chuck is that he has a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and accounting, so for those who thought this guy was just a dumb brawler think again.
After training for years and years chuck decided to enter the UFC and his first match was against Noe Hernandez which Liddell won via a decision. Chuck soon began to build up a reputation as a force to be reckoned with and was known as a striker. As his reputation kept on building it was only time before he would become number one contender. However the champion at the time Tito Ortiz wouldn't give Chuck Liddell a shot.
On April 16, 2005 chuck would finally get his title shot against Randy Couture, thankfully for chuck the fight only lasted 1 round and ended when Liddell knocked out Couture.
On April 18 at UFC 97, Liddell was defeated by Shogun and in the post match interview with the owner of the UFC Dana White he confirmed that Chuck would be retiring from the UFC.
