Who Needs a Dog Bed? Your Dog Does. by:Donna Greenslade
Why does your dog need his own dog bed? Even if he sleeps with you
, he still needs a comfortable space to call his own. Maybe you have shared a bed with someone who slept in the middle and hogged all of the covers. Have you ever gone camping and slept on the hard cold damp ground or slept on the floor at a friends house? Did you wake up feeling stiff and sore and maybe a little grouchy? Wouldn't it have been nice to have had a nice cozy sleeping bag or air mattress? Your dog has feelings too. Dog beds come in many sizes, shapes, colors and types which are pleasing to the eye and will fit in with any dcor. They can be tucked in a corner, set up in the yard, or used for traveling. Perhaps you need one for outside and another for inside.
Choosing the correct dog bed may not be as easy as you might think. How do you know what your dog will like? When you ask him, does he wag his tail, jump up and down and kiss you on the cheek or does he tuck his tail between his legs and ignore you? However, he CAN help you choose the right bed. Puppies have different needs than older dogs. So age plays an important part in choosing a dog bed. Knowing your dog and his need will make the decision much easier. O my goodness, you have TWO dogs? Will they share their space or do they each want a place all to themselves? You really do have a dilemma, read on for more help in making the best possible choice.
SIZE is an important factor. Choose a dog bed that fits your dog. Large enough to be comfortable and yet small enough to be cozy.
TYPE: where are you going to use this bed? In the house or outside? You may want one to have one in both places. Does your dog have special needs? Should you buy an orthopedic dog bed, a heated bed, a cooling bed, or a travel bed?
COLOR: beds come in many different colors. You might like a pink one if you have a small cuddly female dog, there are plaid ones for the larger masculine dogs and other colors to fit in with your overall dcor.
STYLE: beds come in several shapes and sizes. Square, round, oblong, raised beds, pillow beds, and baskets. You can get Bolster beds with fitted sheets.
MATERIALS: Polyester, twill, nylon, micro velvet, micro fiber, fleece, cotton, faux suede, Berber, plush, faux leather and more.
PRICE: You can spend a little or as much as you want on that special bed for your "best friend." Beds are priced to fit every budget.
I sincerely hope to have helped brighten your day and that the above information has been enlightening and useful to you
